The next learn.gold user group: e-assessment special will take place on Tuesday the 13th of December 11:00-13:00 BPB 3 / 4 (ground floor).  Now that the upgrade is complete, there is a strong will to sustain the User Group as a forum for sharing successful and/or interesting practice. The focus will broaden to include Mahara, multimedia, podcasting, web conferencing, personal response systems, and more. Each session involves participants in group discussion to share knowledge and elicit issues. We will also hear from internal and external speakers who are pioneering new uses with Moodle.

From now on each meeting of the user group we will have a theme. We have decided to start with the theme of e-assessment, because from this year the college has moved to electronic submission. We think that many departments will be interested to see examples of the successful use of e-assessment. We are also planning to video record all the presentations, and put the material on learn.gold in a new course area which will include many teaching and learning case studies from Goldsmiths.

Finally, after the end of the event, we are planning a small GLEU Christmas party at GLEU’s offices (WT 308) from 3 o’clock onwards. The Christmas party is open to all staff, but we need to know numbers in advance,  so if you would like to come, please register as soon as possible here at: http://www.doodle.com/9vv2nzt9fwrppkfx
