The Goldsmiths Learning Enhancement Unit (GLEU) is inviting students to join a user group discussing ways forward for online learning at Goldsmiths', including but not limited to learn.gold (the Virtual Learning Environment / VLE).

The aim is to consider issues around learn.gold, its integrated environments in-house at Goldsmiths, the wider web, and contemporary learning and teaching cultures.

Wednesday 14 December 2011, 2.00pm -3.00pm
Rm 305, New Academic Building
Contact tel.gleu@gold.ac.uk if you plan to attend.

As well as learn.gold itself, we'll also give consideration to Goldsmiths' other in-house environments including Turnitin (for academic writing and 'originality checking'), Mahara (portfolio building, group work and educational networking), and BigBlueButton (web meeting with audio, video and chat). We'll also discuss podcasting, personal response systems and learning on the wider web.

Even more importantly, we want to develop a forum for horizon scanning.

In short, you'll have the chance to influence our direction. The group will meet once a term, for one hour - if you'd like to join in, we'd like to hear for you.

Contact tel.gleu@gold.ac.uk if you plan to attend.
