The front page of the Lecture List shows up-coming lectures, and the archive is searchable by region, venue and subject. Searching for 'Goldsmiths' shows it's pretty haphazard but still - it's a great idea in principle.
It's not new but I hope it grows. Give it some support by visiting http://www.lecturelist.org/ and by submitting your public event.
