Ian Stonehouse (Electronic Music Studios) reminds us that Goldsmiths has a license to access the British Library's Archival Sound Recordings website - http://sounds.bl.uk/ - an audio resource for UK higher and further education, which holds over 12,0000 recordings, including :
  • Soundscape
  • Oral history of jazz in Britain
  • Beethoven String Quartets
  • David Rycroft's Africa recordings
  • Klaus Wachsmann Uganda recordings
  • Records and record players
  • Amphibians (!)
To access the site you will need an Athens username and password. If you don't have one already, get yours here -
